Amazon’s latest AI enforcer—nicknamed “Bulldog”—is on a mission: sniff out and shut down listings where UPC or EAN codes don’t align with GS1-registered brand names.

According to a LinkedIn post, Bulldog is flagging over 400,000 listings per day for mismatches. Even technically valid barcodes are being targeted if:
- Third-party barcodes that don’t show brand ownership
- GS1 prefixes that don’t match your brand in Seller Central
- Recycled or mismatched codes from outdated suppliers
- GTIN issues that stall A+ content or product submissions
🚨 Real seller, real sweep
Amazon doesn’t always notify you. In fact, one brand reportedly lost 236 ASINs overnight—no notice, no performance alerts. The only trace was buried deep in:
Manage Inventory → Listing Tools → Search Suppressed and Inactive Listings → Detail Page Removed

- Fix your GS1 license to align with your brand name.
- If you’re a reseller:
- Work only with GS1-compliant brands or risk losing contribution rights.
