Itâs the final stretch before Prime Dayâyour listings are optimized, ads are dialed in, and pallets are en route. But what if they never make it to the warehouse?
According to The Telegraph, thatâs the nightmare facing sellers shipping to Amazonâs Nottingham fulfillment center, which is reportedly turning away trucks and telling drivers the warehouse is ‘full.’ đ«
đ§ Amazon says, âEverythingâs fineâ
- Sellers have taken to forums, warning of repeated delivery rejections and radio silence on inbound shipments.
- Baby brand Mama Bamboo says it lost ÂŁ20,000 from a month-long delay.
Amazon insists itâs business as usual: no âunexpected delays,â and support is available for anyone affected. And in a plot twist, they said Mama Bambooâs delivery was eventually accepted.
But if everythingâs running smoothly, why are so many trucks being turned away?
đŠ Plan for package delays
Whether itâs Prime Day chaos or just poor coordination, fulfillment disruptions happen. Sellers who survive them usually have:
- Backup warehouses or 3PLs
- Multiple carrier partners
- Transparent customer communication when things go sideways
Because letâs be real, if your stock doesnât make it to the warehouse, itâs not making it to your customer either. đ€·

Seller control over delivery promise quietly slips away

Amazon is coming for that ‘buffer’ you built into your shipping window.
According to ChanelX, sellers are getting notifications that Amazon will soon start auto-updating domestic standard transit times based on your real delivery performance.
â Whatâs actually changing?
Amazon’s goal is to align delivery promises with your transit times (TT). Sounds helpfulâuntil it isnât. đ
Hereâs how the auto-updates will work:
- Faster-than-listed deliveries: Your times will be shortened.
- Example: If you’re set to 5â7 days but consistently deliver in 4, Amazon will cut it to 3â5.
- Slower-than-listed deliveries: Your times will be extended.
- Example: If you’re set to 2-3 days but consistently deliver in 4, Amazon will bump it to 3â5.
Note: Only standard domestic shipping is affected (for now). Expedited, international, and premium shipping templates stay untouched.
đ But youâre still on the hook
Even though Amazonâs adjusting the settings for you, youâre still fully responsible for making sure theyâre accurate. If they tweak it and something goes wrong? Thatâs on you. đ«”
